Blue Lake Multisport Logo Celebrating 40 Years

This iconic event celebrated its  40th anniversary in 2026! A fabulous two-day, all-ages, all-abilities festival of swimming, biking, and running events.

Location and course maps

The festival is held at Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake), Rotorua. The event hub is conveniently located at the Blue Lake Reserve, offering easy access for participants and spectators. The Blue Lake Multisport Festival is one of New Zealand's longest-running multisport events, drawing participants from across the country. 

The event promises a weekend filled with diverse events suitable for all ages and skill levels.

  • 2km Swim (including the Hinemoa  & Tūtānekai Trophies for those entering this event without a wetsuit)
